Duane graduated from Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and Christian Ministries. His diverse work experience includes Youth Shelters, group homes, substance abuse treatment and in home counseling.
Duane brings different types, strategies and styles in his contact with clients. His primary approach is to instill hope and offer encouragement by helping each person see their strengths and successes. Successes, no matter how small, are highlighted and used as a foundation in the lifelong pursuit of growth and resiliency.
Having lived from San Diego to New York City, Duane decided to call Iowa his home. He is a husband and father of 4 children and enjoys reading, traveling with his family, hiking, visiting people in nursing homes and working on puzzles.
