Education & Training Programs

Center Associates' Education & Training program strives to meet the needs of future mental health professionals.  During our education and training, intern and practicum students will be offered life-long experiences and tools to aide in the mental health field. Future providers will refine their skill set and learn new interventions to assist in whole person healthcare.  Training will include but not limited to team work and collaboration to communication with individuals to screening/assessments to cultural competencies and adaptation to many more areas of social work, mental health counseling and psychology.

Center Associates has formed partnerships with several undergraduate and graduate programs in social work, mental health counseling and psychology.  Various starting points for the experience are fall, spring and summer based upon the student’s academic or licensure schedule.  Any individual with bilingual capabilities are encouraged to apply.  The training program features individual and group supervision, monthly agency-wide case consultation, experiences with multi-faceted programing, and periodic in-services.

Supervision

Clinical Supervision can be a challenging yet rewarding process for all individuals involved. It takes a great deal of flexibility and a clear understanding about how to guide the supervisee and structure the supervision process. During your supervision you will learn about ethical dilemmas and issues that can arise and focus on assessment and reporting of risk management issues often seen in therapy.  Additionally, you will be provided with case examples, vignettes, and other formats of learning throughout supervision to help you with your day-to-day clinical practice.
