After many years of practicing as a Registered Nurse, with experiences in medicine, surgical post-op, pediatrics, long-term care, and inpatient/outpatient mental health, Lisa Rock returned to graduate school at the University of Iowa in 2009. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2012, treating children and adolescents in a community mental health center after licensure and certification. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2015, and transitioned to treating adults as well. She is licensed by the Iowa Board of Nursing as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She provides medication management for a wide range of psychiatric illnesses across the lifespan.
