Nick Calzada began his practice in the human services field in 1999. He received his Bachelor's degree in social work in 2003, and his Master's degree in social work in 2007, both from the University of Northern Iowa. Additionally, he is a member of the 2007 National Honors Scholastic Honor Society. He is a Licensed Independent Social Worker.
Nick's therapy approach would include a strength based approach to assist patient's identifying their strengths, as well as supportive therapy, cognitive and realistic therapy techniques. His practice at Center Associates would include individual psychotherapy for adults and children ages 6 and above, marriage and family therapy, and also seeing patients on an emergency basis.
Nick serves patients from school-age to geriatric patients. In addition to his practice at Center Associates, he has had experience in day treatment centers for youth, worked with homeless adolescents and young adults, as well as in-home family therapy.
