Raejean is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa practicing in mental health for the past several years in home, office and community based services. She received her Masters degree from Grace University and spent ten years in Omaha, Nebraska working, teaching, and providing crisis intervention with all ages in home, Boys Town hotline, domestic violence advocacy, substance abuse treatment centers and transitional living programs, before returning back to Iowa for family.
Raejean has had a great deal of experience working with families and helping with parenting issues with therapy and BHIS (Behavioral Health Intervention Services). She also has extensive experience working with trauma, attachment, ADHD, oppositional defiant behaviors, self-worth, and anxiety, depression, grief, and life adjustment issues. Raejean enjoys using CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) as well as DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) interventions on a regular basis. She provides individual and family therapy for children through adults in both the Marshalltown and Toledo clinics.
Raejean's approach to counseling is warm, vulnerable, genuine, client centered, and strength based. She believes the quality of our relationships with others impact all other aspects of our lives. As a holistic therapist, she identifies the ability to heal and change within ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually with the right support and encouragement. Her goal as a counselor is to come alongside each individual to help them identify and utilize their personal strengths and inner resources in order to improve all aspects of their life as they are interconnected.
